Help us Plant a Tree!

The Dade City Garden Club is currently accepting orders for memorial trees to be planted and dedicated at our Arbor Day Celebration, scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2026. This is a perfect opportunity to plant a living tribute to honor a memory, a celebration, or to recognize a special person or event.
The Dade City Garden Club Memorial Tree Program was created in support of The City’s Tree City USA designation and is co-sponsored by both the Dade City Garden Club and the City of Dade City. Since 1994, approximately 500 trees have been planted throughout Dade City.
The deadline to order a tree is March 15, 2026. This year’s memorial trees may be reserved for a donation of $100, which includes the tree, planting, marker and inscribed plaque.
Please consider helping us plant a tree. Create a lasting memorial while benefitting our environment and contributing to the health and beautification of our community. Over the past few years, the value and importance of trees have become increasingly clear. Cities and towns across the globe are facing issues with air quality, water resources, personal health and well-being, and energy use. The Dade City Garden club is happy to partner with The City of Dade City in taking steps to create a brighter and greener future.
To place your order for a 2026 Arbor Day/Memorial Tree, mail a completed Reservation Form along with payment (check made payable to the DADE CITY GARDEN CLUB) to Mona Goossens, 13039 Tradition Drive, Dade City, FL 33525 before the March 15th deadline.

2 pm to 5 pm
$75 donation in advance
Early Bird Pricing of $65 per ticket up until February 14, 2026
The Dade City Garden Club invites you to UNCORKED—A Taste of Dade City, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2 pm to 5 pm. This year’s event is planned as a celebration showcasing the delectable flavor and charm of Dade City not only to residents but to the whole of the Tampa Bay area.
Visitors are invited to savor vibrant flavors, scents and experiences as garden club members transform the gardens into a celebration of the delectable charm that is Dade City! Built in 1915 as a church, the Dade City Garden Club clubhouse was moved to its present location with funds collected by the founding members through bake sales, catering, and public donations and was recognized in 1979 as a historic site by the Pasco County Commission Board and the Historical Preservation Committee. Considered a vital part of the community, the building and grounds are used not only for the garden club’s center for meetings, education, and social events, it is also available for rent to the public for weddings, anniversaries, and celebrations of life. The three-acre gardens which are maintained by volunteer members have recently been designated as a Level 1 Accredited Arboretum.
Everyone is invited to taste wine and local beer, sample culinary bites from local restaurants, enjoy live entertainment, be inspired by local artists, learn cooking tips from a local chef, and win extraordinary prizes--all while helping to maintain the historic building and grounds of the Dade City Garden Club. Restaurant Sponsors who will be featured at the event are Beef O’Brady’s, Corry’s Artisan Chocolates, Dinner’s Ready, The Farmhouse Market & Café, Green Door on 8th, Lanky Lassie’s Shortbread, Steph’s Southern Soul Restaurant, and Uncle Fatty’s Kitchen. Craft beer will be provided by The ABL and Dade City Brew House.

Gardening at East Pasco Education Academy
The Dade City Garden Club will present Gardening at East Pasco Education Academy at its January general membership meeting on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 9:30 am at the garden club.
The speaker for the program is Marisa Crane, a Master Gardener Volunteer with the UF/IFAS extension office and the school’s Student Services Assistant and Garden & Wellness Coordinator. Working with the students, she maintains 30 EarthBoxes, 8 raised vegetable garden beds, 20'X20' wildflower garden, greenhouse with 96 vertical growing pots and a courtyard butterfly garden. Their gardens are funded by grants and donations from various organizations.
Last spring, the school’s butterfly garden was certified as a Dade City Monarch Butterfly Haven by garden club members, who were so impressed to see what else besides butterflies were alive and growing on the school property. They insisted they wanted to bring the news to other garden club members and the public and asked Marisa to address the group at a general membership meeting.
